Om Friday Fit Tip: Resistance Bands
Change up your routine dumbbell exercises to challenge your body by swapping them out with resistance bands!
Resistance bands are great for upper and lower body exercises as the band forces your body to work against gravity in several directions, toning small and large muscle groups in addition to improving coordination and balance.
These inexpensive resistance bands are available at any local fitness store in addition to Target and Dicks and come in various resistance levels (light, medium, and heavy.) in addition to specific pound resistances. Free weight rules still apply, choose the proper resistance based upon your comfort level and strength!
Check out my tricep exercise demonstration video. Start out with 3 sets of 20 reps with the medium resistance band and don’t be afraid to adjust resistance or reps as needed!
