Here's how it works.
First thing's first, you'll need to find a home you love. With LC, this usually starts by touring one of our communities with a sales consultant, checking out all we have to offer, and experiencing a bit of The Good Life first hand..
Once you've got a home in mind, you'll meet with the same sales consultant to discuss details such as pricing and personalized options. At this point, we'll ask to run your credit report. No worries, this is at no cost to you and does not obligate you to buy in any way. This typically only takes a few minutes, but LC also offers a pre-qualification form you can fill out on our website to save you even more time. Simply visit any of our condo communities and click Apply Online to fill out the form today!
With your credit check complete and pricing details outlined, your agent will walk you through the various financing options available to you. Your monthly mortgage payments will depend on current interest rates, your credit score, and how much you plan to put towards a down payment.
Next step is to take your time and decide. At LC, you'll get no pressure from us, but we're here to help if you need.
Once you've decided to buy the home (we're so happy you said "yes"), simply call up your LC sales consultant and set up an appointment to sign your contract. During this appointment you'll also fill out a loan application to get your mortgage set up (unless you decide to just pay for it all up front, in which case, take it easy... you don't have a thing to worry about.). The application process typically takes 1 hour to complete and approximately 60 days for approval.
Once approved, your consultant will contact you to schedule a walkthrough of your new home where you'll meet with a quality assurance specialist to go over all the bells and whistles of your place and make sure everything is exactly the way you want it (as it should be). This usually takes about 1 hour. Any concerns or changes you have at this point will be corrected in time for your "closing date" which will be scheduled 3 to 5 days from your walkthrough.
It's the big day, but we want to make sure you're happy first before you sign all of that paperwork. On your closing date you'll take another walk through your new place to be sure all of the expected changes were made and to double-check that there aren't any additional concerns. This one should take about 30 minutes.
When you're satisfied that everything is exactly the way you want it, you'll sign your closing documents (approx. 1 hour) and you'll receive a shiny set of keys to your brand new place, as well as key cards for the clubhouse, fitness center and pool.
