5 Things to Do During the Winter in Louisville

Looking for a way to get out of the house during the cold winter months ahead? We’re sharing five things that you can do in Louisville even with freezing temperatures.

Climb Nulu

Nulu’s very own bouldering facility. This means there are no ropes or harnesses involved. But, don’t let this scare you off, they have routes for all levels of climbing. Get a first timers day pass for $15--this includes rental climbing shoes & rental chalk bag.

Flying Axes

So, rock climbing wasn’t adventurous enough for you? Well, we’ve got the thing for you: axe throwing. For just $20, the staff will arm you with your very own axe and a wooden target at which to throw it for a full hour. You can face off against your friends and see who has the best aim.

Museum Row

Be a tourist in your own town and explore one or more of the museums on Museum Row.

Choose from the Louisville Slugger Factory + Museum, Kentucky Science Center, Frazier History Museum, the KMAC Museum and many more.

Joe Ley Antiques

Gear up for a treasure hunt because that’s exactly what you’ll find inside Joe Ley Antiques. Eclectic antiques and oddities that will satisfy collectors and novices alike. With over 3 floors of unique inventory, the hunt for the perfect antique is endless. Items range from books to dishes, to carousel animals to clowns. Their ever-changing inventory will ensure you never see the same thing twice.

Bowling at Pin + Proof

Enter the Omni Hotel, turn left off the lobby, and look for the discreet “shhh” neon sign denoting the hidden entrance to Pin + Proof.  This speakeasy-inspired bar features plenty of seating along with four bowling alleys and vintage cocktails. We hope you brought your A-game!
