The Most Instagrammable Spots in Louisville

Known for being the home of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, the Kentucky Derby, and Louisville Slugger baseball bats, it’s a little known fact that Louisville is also home to a multitude of Instagrammable hot spots. Lucky for you, we’ve done all the heavy lifting and mapped out our favorite locations.

21c Museum Hotel

700 West Main Street

Louisville, Kentucky 40202

Located Downtown on historic West Main Street, along museum row, 21c Museum Hotel is a contemporary art museum and boutique hotel all wrapped in one. When you first arrive, don’t forget to grab a photo of the double-size replica of Michelangelo’s David statue towering over 7th and Main Street; you get bonus points if you manage to also capture the famous red penguins residing on the rooftop. Once inside, you can explore current exhibits or dine next to vivid installation lining the walls of on-site restaurant, Proof on Main.

Big Bat outside of the Louisville Slugger Museum

800 W Main St

Louisville, KY 40202

Standing at 120 feet tall and leaning against the Hillerich & Bradsby building, this enlarged reproduction of Babe Ruth’s bat is a must-see spot. Head across the street to get the best view of the full bat or stand at the base of the bat to play around with a unique perspective.

Steel City Pops

1021 Bardstown Road

Louisville, KY 40204

Steel City Pops is serving up all-natural, gluten-free, gourmet pops that may just become your new favorite summertime treat. The menu includes everything from fruity to creamy to cookie flavors; they even have Paleo options! Customize your pop with their dipping station that allows you to drip, dredge, dizzle and dust your pop with an array of flavors. Choose the strawberry cream pop dipped in white chocolate and dusted with all natural sprinkles for a vibrant Instagrammable shot.

Big Four Bridge

1101 River Rd

Louisville, KY 40202

Located along Louisville's waterfront, the Big Four Bridge spans nearly a half mile as it connects Kentucky to Indiana. Previously a railroad bridge, this repurposed pedestrian and bicycle bridge makes for a stunning shot full of depth and unique angles. Although walking across the bridge in daylight is still a sight to see, the views at sunset are absolutely stunning as the thousands of LED lights that line the bridge contrast against the glowing sky.

Louisville Cream

632 E Market St, Suite 101

Louisville, KY 40202

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Louisville Cream is a local favorite when it comes to small batch gourmet ice cream. The flavors are constantly rotating but don’t worry, Royal Chocolate, Vanilla Two Ways, Bourbon Smoked Pecan, and Salted Butter Pecan are always available. Pro tip: add a housemade Giant Animal Cracker to your scoop for the perfect Instagram shot.
