We’ve put on our walking shoes and took to the winding streets of downtown to explore everything that Columbus has to offer. From an array of attractions, unique restaurants and bars, and greenspaces, we’re sharing some of our favorite places in Downtown Columbus.
132 S High Street
Known for its vibrant cantina interiors and unique menu that allows you to have your taco your way, Condado has secured their title as one of Columbus’ top taco spots. Although their menu does have some taco suggestions, we suggest forgoing these and utilizing their unique build-your-own taco menu. Fill out their scantron style menu to customize everything from your protein to your toppings to even the shell. Don’t forget to finish off your order with an order of chorizo queso and a mango margarita! They’re must haves!
160 South High Street
When driving down South High Street towards the city, it’s hard to miss the 6-acre greenspace located in Downtown Columbus. As the home to year round concerts, festivals, fitness classes, and food truck lunches, you’re almost always guaranteed to find something fun happening in this park. During the summer, come enjoy an ice cream cone at Jeni’s, join the kickball league or walk around one of the countless festivals held here. During the winter, you’ll need a hot chocolate to stay warm but it’ll be worth it; the entire commons sparkles with hundreds of thousands of lights that make up their extravagant holiday light display.
59 Spruce Street
Since its beginning in 1876, North Market has been the home to butchers, bakers, fishmongers, grocers, and restaurateurs alike. Today, you can find many of the same along with prepared food from independent merchants. Ethnic food specialties such as Hubert’s Polish Kitchen and Lan Viet Vietnamese Market show off the unique flavors of different cultures. Make sure to arrive hungry and walk around all the booths before making your decision. Don’t forget that Hot Chicken Takeover is located upstairs!
The Scioto Mile
233 Civic Center Drive
Located along the riverfront of the Arena District and stretching miles through the Whittier Peninsula, The Scioto Mile includes lush parklands, multi-use trails, launch points for canoes and kayaks, and much more. Once the hot summer temperatures arrive, grab your swimsuit and towel to splash around in the largest fountain in Central Ohio. Enjoy renowned jazz music and sizzling barbeque during the Jazz & Rib Fest during July. Once December arrives, appreciate thousands of twinkling lights along with countless food trucks and local breweries during WinterFest.
Pins Mechanical Co.
141 N 4th Street
Games on games on games; that’s what Pins Mechanical Co. has to offer. Between Duckpin bowling, ping-pong, pinball machines, giant Jenga and bocce ball, Pins has something for everyone. While you’re there, grab a drink from their bar offering more than 30 local brews on tap along with an assortment of creative cocktails or a quick bite from one of the food trucks parked on the patio. Speaking of the patio, it may just be the best patio in Columbus. Equipped with firepits, plenty of seating, and outdoor games, it will have you coming back weekend after weekend.

Although her ice cream is now available in 9 different states, Columbus is proud to be the home of Jeni’s Ice Cream. Known for their unique flavor combinations, smooth texture, and buttercream finish, Jeni’s is a must-have, even in the cold Ohio winters. With so many amazing flavors, it’s hard to choose just one. Lucky for you, samples are encouraged and a standard scoop allows you try two flavors.
Clippers Game at Huntington Park

Grab your baseball mitt and enjoy some sunshine at the home of the Columbus Clippers, Huntington Park, located in the midst of the Arena District. Although the team is a professional Minor League Team is affiliated with the Cleveland Indians, you’re always in for a good time at Huntington Park but especially on Saturdays. Every Saturday is Party-At-The-Park where live music will be playing from the time the gates open until the first pitch is thrown. Dime-A-Dog Night is another crowd pleaser with hot dogs just 10 cents all night long.
