Michael J. DeAscentis II is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of LC, a multifaceted company in the apartment, hospitality, home building, and energy sectors, approaching its 27th year in business. As CEO, Michael leads the LC Investment Committee, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors, overseeing all aspects of the organization, including strategic planning and growth. With intentional focus, LC has developed over $2B worth of Class-A units, comprising 15,000+ units acoss 6 markets. LC’s integrated approach emphasizes community activation, fostering a sense of belonging, and prioritizing long-term partnerships with cities.
Michael’s commitment extends beyond business, as he actively contributes to the Columbus, Ohio, community and national housing policy. He serves on local non-profit organizations and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) since 2004. Additionally, Michael is involved in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Multifamily Product Council, a global real estate organization dedicated to responsible land use and thriving communities. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
