There’s just something about fall that makes you crave a hot beverage with some spices or other hearty flavor. Maybe it’s the brisk air or bright fall colors, or just the feeling of coming together with friends and family - but whatever it is, fall has us looking for some warmth and coziness in a mug.
The good news is that Louisville has plenty of local spots that serve that very thing, and we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite locations and drink options in and around the city. Next time you’re looking for something delicious to sip on, try one of these fall drinks.
Gralehaus, Hot Apple Cider
Need we say more? It's hot apple cider with a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. The quintessential fall drink.
Quills Coffee, Maple Spice
A nice take on classic fall flavors. Better yet, Quills gets their maple syrup from Paoli, Indiana. We're always down with businesses supporting other local businesses.
McQuixote Books & Coffee, Blackberry Winter Latte
McQuixote makes their own blackberry syrup in-house and combine it with a bit of white chocolate for a heavenly flavor combo. You'll want more than one.
Sunergos Coffee - S’mores Latte
Exactly what it sounds like, plus more. The talent at Sunergos uses a smoky vanilla sauce and graham cracker infused milk to bring you their take on the campfire favorite.
Please & Thank You - Moon Spice Latte
The Moon Spice latte from Please & Thank You is similar to the seasonal favorite pumpkin spice latte. It brings those pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg flavors to the table without overpowering the espresso.
Nancy’s Bagels - Autumn Au Lait
This drink combines coffee, steamed milk and brown sugar simple syrup to form a flavorful fall option that's anything but ordinary. Served with nutmeg and cinnamon sprinkled on top, this embodies all you look for in a fall-themed beverage.
